Squaw Creek Easement protects 77 acres of native forest that includes more than 20 species of trees and shrubs. There are wetlands, vernal pools, and diverse wildlife habitat and riparian features to the property, with 1800 feet of valley containing a meandering, terraced stream. It is one of the last remaining blocks of agricultural lands in New Buffalo Township, containing 60% soils designated prime farmland.
